With a little help from the surgical branch of the medical profession? The word
prosthesis comes to mind. Although this might be problematical if you're not a
nudist. Or it's a cloudy day. :(

Interesting. The big problem is to get the neural network and the computer-controlled prosthesis to communicate.

Years ago, Dr. Jerrold Petrofsky worked on a computer-controlled method to "animate" paralyzed limbs via computer-controlled muscle stimulation. His story, and that of his subject (Nan Davis), was turned in to a made-for-TV movie, "First Steps".
