Because I have nothing to talk about, link sausage of a few things that have amused me lately:
My Science Project: Lighting a Jell-o Shot on Fire
http://www.myscienceproject.org/j-shot-2.html
"We still haven’t determined whether it’s more dangerous to consume Everclear Jell-O shots or light them on fire."
At one Swedish library, you can borrow books—and a lesbian
http://www.advocate.com/print_article.asp?id=19850
"Borrowing a person will be free, and the library will also provide coffee at its cafe where the "living books" will answer questions about their lives, beliefs, or jobs. "It's supposed to be relaxed and human-to-human," Noren said."
gettyimages
http://creative.gettyimages.com/source/home/home.aspx
A gorgeous archive of images, searchable to a really astonishing degree of specificity.
technovelgy.com
http://www.technovelgy.com/
"Have you seen the future? Explore the wide variety of inventions and ideas of science fiction writers - over 1,025 are available on Technovelgy."
HOUSE Medical Reviews
http://www.politedissent.com/house_pd.html
Articulate, interesting analysis of the show House by a doctor who is also a fan, critiquing everything from the medicine to the soap opera. (The rest of the site's pretty entertaining, too.)
eccentric genius: unconventional contrivances and machina arcana
http://www.eccentricgenius.ca/frameset.htm
"I build antiques from...er...somewhere else. A parallel universe where Leonardo Da Vinci, John Cleese and Jimmy Neutron spend every Tuesday night playing poker with Sherlock Holmes, and the Victorian era 'gentleman inventor' still toils diligently in his potting shed laboratory."
Furious George and the Cross Country Crime Spree
http://furious-george.net/
Ridiculously addictive time killer! (pun intended, yes...)
Udder Insanity
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/games/udder/index.php
And another...
Right, that's enough of that. If someone else is bored, too, may these provide a little entertainment to your hours.

You bum! I cheerfully had to skim through several of those. Jello Shots. I mean... I'm actually tempted. Think of those nights when the kids won't sleep: Here honey, have a nice piece of jello!
Ahem.
Books and a lesbian! Now that really sounds rather nice doesn't it? (grin!)

Date: 2006-05-12 11:05 am (UTC)I sent in a comment that when using Bacardi, matching the Jell-O flavor to the main fruit flavor in known tropical fruit/rum drinks might help the palatability.
It's just too bad nobody makes cola-flavor gelatine dessert.
