As for lemming sounds, I'm thinking of an old coffee commercial showing a percolator (?) sitting on a stove burner, sort of syncopatedly perking away as it brews. Translated into lemming, the sound might be

Splash splash Splash splash Splash Splash, splash Splash splash Splash Splash.
