Time passes

Today, tomorrow, a half day Friday - and then I go HOME! Thank you very, very much to the people who have called, have sent cards, and have travelled well out of their way to cheer and entertain me. It has been a long week and a half so far, but that's made it so much easier.


happyfunpaul, thank you for your call last week. It was lots of fun getting to hang out with you, along with maedbh7, autographedcat, Beth and bercilakslady this weekend in NYC. I hope the drive home went well, and you all enjoyed the rest of your weekend as much!

filkerdave, thank you for the call and the great list of places to see in NYC! We actually did see quite a few of them, and I think ACat and I will go back sometime and see some more. I'm sorry we didn't manage to meet up with you there, but maybe another time.

deborah_c, thank you for a very unexpected and very well timed phone call. I didn't recognize your voice at first, purely from shock that ACat's drive for the Call Kitanzi Campaign had someone calling me all the way from England! That really made my night.

camwyn, thanks for good company and a tasty dinner last night. I generally get awkward about meeting people, but that turned out to be a lot of fun, talking about everything from writing to genetics to the better points of NJ! Hopefully that'll happen again somehow, some time.

Most of all, thank you, Maedbh7 and ACat, for surprise cards, lots of peppy phone calls, and a really great weekend in NYC. (Most of all, thanks for putting up with my moaning about my feet after too much walking! *G*)

I'll be home Friday, halleluiah!
