I've landed in the middle of the Langoliers.

The final phase of remodelling is in full blast at work. Half of the department got relocated to their new cubes last night/when they came in this morning, and the rest of us will be tonight/first thing Monday morning. In a stunning display of brilliant non-planning, I am the only person working until eight who was not moved last night.

The reconstruction crew is steadily closing in on my cube, disassembling things very efficiently as they go. I seem to bemuse them, since I'm walking around, working, faxing, packing, making and answering phone calls in the middle of the clanking and lifting and power screwdrivers. I think the callers are a bit bemused at the noise, too. Luckily it's a very slow night - but if you never hear from me again, you'll know they got a little too efficient at taking everything apart...

Well, I not only survived but I got out of work an hour early since they wanted to take down my old cube and didn't have my new cube up yet, and the only cube not in use that had a phone set up was crammed full of everyone's boxes, waiting for monday. Don't you looooove planning? :) And then I came home and played City of Heroes with ACat and Bedlamhouse until four freaking thirty in the morning. And now I am short on sleep but awake anyhow. Shoot me, please.

City of Heroes - since you commented on me getting shot, I thought you'd seen me mention that in my reply to Browngirl? It's a highly addictive massive multiplayer role playing game, with a superhero theme. I'm having all kinds of fun swooping through the air, blasting things with energy bolts and freezing them solid with ice manipulation, and last night ACat and Bedlamhouse and another friend did a task force mission which took MUCH MUCH longer than we expected. I spend more time playing the damn game yesterday than I did at work - at least if you qualify yesterday as including all the time before I went to bed at 4:30 this morning.

Ah. Sounds fun! Didja see SpiderMan 2? I just did, not as good as the first but still pretty good. Molina was terrific, but the script limped a bit.
