You came late to this one. I'd recommend it retroactively. *grin*

(Since I started at the bottom, I'll work my way up.)

I Used To Believe.

*notes your Atkins interest* Erm. Low carb is kind of out of my field. *grin*

Oh, that one's hard. Suzanne Vega?

Hrm. Most stuff I'd recommend you've probably read already. So I'll recommend Patterns in the mind (Language and Human Nature) by Ray Jackendoff and hope you weren't the one of my friends who was a student of his...:) If you were, The Last Unicorn, by Beagle. Simply one of the most beautiful books ever written.

Dream for an Insomniac. You might like it. :)

Hi! I came late to this (just got back from a lovely trip to New Orleans and Dallas for an Irish music fest) so I've got music etc on the brain..

1. a movie- Master and Commander- just saw it, really enjoyed it and has a great soundtrack.

2. a book - Stories of Your Lives and Other Tales, by Ted Chiang. An outstanding anthology. The worst story in it is just very good..the best are brilliant.

3. a musical artist, song, or album- Don't know if it's to your taste, but I'm awash in music at the moment.. so:
Ed Miller- Many a Fine Tale (Scottish singer, vocal album with Brian MacNeill)
Danu - The Road Less Traveled (Excellent Irish instrumental album with a few also excellent vocals)
The Corsairs- Gold (an a capella male pirate group- no one does it better! www.corsairs.com)

5. what I should have for dinner- hmm.. I was going to say beef stew, but you probably haven't just gotten 6 inches of snow (I've been having a soup/stew/chili week)... and then there's the Atkins. How about pork tenderloin with sage? (Take a pork tenderloin, rub it all over with a mixture of olive oil, salt, pepper and sage) and roast.. if you're interested, I've got the recipe at home :). It's a fave of mine.

6. a website

my mother only made it 58 miles..
