I have no idea why, particularly, but I'm just absurdly cheerful and happy today. I'm smiling at people in the halls, humming The Heart of Summer and wishing I could get up to dance to it. It's just a day where I'm full of energy and good feeling and things just sort of click.

My life is good all around - maybe I don't appreciate that often enough. (It's been pointed out to me that most of my stories seem to be sad ones!) My blessings are many just now - sweeties who I dearly love and love me, many friends who are family to me, a job where I really feel I'm conquering the learning curve (and getting the best wage of my life for it), coworkers I enjoy (some of whom I'd even willing spend outside of work time with!), a nice place to live in an area I like, and less financial burden that I have EVER had since living on my own - I can even answer my own phone without fear of creditor attacks!

My health is good, my heart is happy and whole, my teeth are my own - what more could I ask for approaching 35?

Maybe the question ought to be why I don't walk around dancing to the music in my head more often. *G*

(And I am steadfastly refusing to even think about jinxing myself with this. :) )

As good a day as it is, it's still a workday. Can I seize the weekend instead? *G*

They Say...

Well, they say everyone has a double. From your photo, it looks like you are mine, or maybe I am yours? Anyway, Hello! I'm glad you're happy today, and I hope things just get better and better for you. I am working on that area myself ;)

My name is Felicia and I live in the Portland, Oregon area. Writing is my dream, but in the meantime I have to find a more stable source of income (probably as a librarian or software tester). I hope we have a chance to chat time to time. I added you to my friends list when my friend Kate ran across your journal and actually thought it was mine! (hee!). I used to have bangs but I finally grew them out, and it was really hard because every once in a while I have this urge to go get them cut short.

What color are your eyes? Mine are blue. I'm 33...so I guess I can't be your *real* twin. Besides, I think you have nicer hair.

Hmm, you certainly look enough like me to be a sister at the least! That's really pretty neat, actually. You can probably find out as much as you want to know about me (or more) from my LJ here, but I used to work in a library also, and used to do some writing - I may again some day, but for now it tends to be song lyrics if anything. And yep, I have blue eyes too. How very odd! I'm glad you found this!

It's wonderful to see you this happy - may the contentment last a long time and may all the good things in your life last as well. :)

Very well. Small person is curled up on my lap as I type. :) Aside from sleep dep, I'm in astonishingly good shape, and I don't even have to qualify that with "considering...."

Yay for the weekend

Absolutely! The Happy Dance is infinitely expandable - why do you think they say "The more the merrier"? Happy Weekend!

Very welcome - I think I tend to hold onto bad memories longer and more vividly, don't know why. I thought it would be good to have a record of this to point myself at. I'm glad other people are getting good out of it too. :)
