Right...

So today was the MRI. It was tedious, it was uncomfortable, it was bearable and necessary for both my peace of mind and my doctor's. It's done, and I really, REALLY hope I never have to have another one. The weirdest part was that the sound effects for the second series of scans sounded exactly like the fire alarm here at work, only not as loud. That was a tough one to relax through. *G* I find out the results next Wednesday.

I am so sick of doctors.

Thanks, hon! :) Hopefully, that'll be the very last of it.

Hopefully. Generally there's no point in getting another MRI unless the condition has developed. I haven't had one in almost ten years. It's a very informative scan. (In my case, it only ruled out a bunch of causes, but they all would have been bad, so it was a relief.)

Yeah, peace of mind is exactly what I'm expecting from this. For that alone it's worth it, but I never want to do that again.

Perhaps you just haven't been examined properly yet?

Glad to here it all went well and is over with now. *hugs* -H...

Well, see, there are examinations and then there are examinations. Ahem.

(I'm too tired to think of a good one, but insert appropriate pun about playing doctor here.)

For a distraction, consider the inconsistent meanings of "over-examined" as [livejournal.com profile] kitanzi intended it here and "overlooked" as conventionally used. :-)

Still, it's probably better that she wasn't overlooked in this case. Here's hoping for peace of mind from the results.

Boy do I understand being sick of doctors. I saw three different sets of them on Wednesday...blurgh. *hug* I hope that the MRI confirms that you don't have anything serious so you don't have to see any more for awhile! *grin*

That is my fervent hope! I hope your health problems improve, too - you've got much the worse deal at the moment.
