Tiredly optimistic
Oct. 13th, 2003 08:27 pmFirst day today - this is not a physically demanding job, but when everything is new from the names of everyone you meet to where to find the cafeteria to choosing passwords that you HAVE to remember then it's just exhausting. I think I'm gonna like it there, though. It seems like a good place, good people, and I think it's somewhere that I'll still be content with even after the shiny newness wears off.
They seem to value their employees, and actually work at showing it and keeping them happy. This is a novelty I could well get accustomed to!

PS - A small but overlooked plus: at least you get to pick your own passwords, rather than having to memorize some random alpha(numeric)bet soup the system generates for you.

Date: 2003-10-14 03:31 pm (UTC)Still, I like the place and I like the people, and it's very ironic that I'm essentially TAKING an accounting class for training here after having planned to do one online and then passing on it once I found I had a new job! >:)
