Well, then!

Stuff's been going on, believe it or not, I'm just hopeless at posting about it when it happens. I'm not even sure where to start.
Well,
nrivkis came to visit us last Saturday and stayed through to yesterday. Essentially she just needed friends to be around, following some very bad personal news since her husband is tangled at the moment in an awful lot of work that he can't get out of. I wish he could have come as well, but we were happy to have her visit, and we'll see him again sometime. It was odd, since she'd been down just the weekend before with him for a happier visit, but it was a nice kind of odd! There was lots of talking, singing, cuddling and card playing, and I think she got what she needed, which was the basic idea. The fact that we got another, unexpected visit with a good friend who lives too far away out of it was just a bonus. :)
autographedcat gave a more detailed description of that visit, plus a surprise visit in the middle of the week from his sister-by-choice and her family.
Right now, I'm just kind of tired and blah, wishing the week was over. We've had visitors, or trips to do stuff with people, or both for many weekends in a row now. It's all been with good friends and people we love, but this weekend we're imitating snails and pulling into our shells, I think. We've been exceedingly social lately, for a couple who are essentially homehuggers, and we just need a quiet couple days home with each other. Fortunately, this weekend is ideal for that, then the social schedule picks up again with another visitor plus a filk the next weekend, then ACat's class reunion and a visit to his mom's the weekend following. No wonder I'm just burned out! :)
