Thursday nights

Thursday nights are full of silence, full of indulgence, full of potential.

They are full of productivity - washing laundry, sweeping floors, loading the dishwasher, taking out trash, tidying the house.

They are full of creativity - polishing scansion on a song, catching up on email with a friend, cooking goodies to be savored before they are shared.

They are full of entertainment - good music, better books, odd things on television, chatting with friends.

They are full of noise - laughing at swarms of noisy kids outside the window, practicing a song I really want to learn, clicking keys while I chat on IRC.

They are full of time to be squandered - websurfing, playing computer games, feeding ducks by the pond, going to bed however early or late I feel sleepy.

They're full, but when my sweetie asks, as he walks out the door, "Whatcha think you'll do tonight?" - I just shrug and smile.

That's because the best part of Thursday nights is reminding myself that, howevermuch I love him, I love him even more when I wake up and see him home again Friday morning. :)

Spamming my own journal?

Three posts in a day... I think I am tying my own record for this. I did mention I was trying to polish a song, yes? Well, I wrote a surprisingly ose song while I had a cold in England, and I've been fiddling and tinkering with it. (I didn't start out ose, believe me. It's one of those that wandered off on its own, leaving me to trail behind it. In fact, I think even by Erica Neely's definition, this is ose!)
