Good Stuff

kitanziNothing earth shattering, just a weekend that's shaping up to be a really good one. ACat and I met up with ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
ladyat at the Red Light Cafe last night after I got out of work, and I got the treat of my first time seeing Cheryl Wheeler live. She was absolutely amazing, with a perfect mix of funny and poignant songs, and good as she is recorded, she's a hundred times better live. The place was packed - we almost fell out of our seats laughing at times, but I doubt there would have been room! I wouldn't be surprised if everyone I know has already seen her, but if you haven't, take the first chance you get. Wonderful, wonderful stuff, though we didn't have cash on hand to get the CD she was selling.
quadrivium called while we were there to confirm she was on her way - she's staying with us this weekend so she can come along to the local housefilk, which also makes my weekend. *G* I'm very glad that she and her family are moving closer - I just wish I could somehow magically lure them into Alpharetta for my maximum convenience! They are all people I want to get to know better, and the closer they are the better. :)
The filk itself should be a blast, and another late night, and then sometime tomorrow evening the weekend gets rounded out with an evening trip to visit withtelynor for dinner and a theraputic massage session for ACat, and the dizzying social whirl of my weekend will subside with a whimper as I try to get enough sleep tomorrow night to make it through Monday!
