Chicago... it's my kinda movie

eloren and I just had a nifty "girls afternoon out" and went to see Chicago, which is still playing in at least one theater nearby. It was GREAT! Seriously, if you have not seen this on the big screen (well, midsized screen at this place) you should go catch it quick before it goes away. There were maybe a half dozen people in the theater, including us, but this is big and brassy and gorgeous, and I'm sure it will lose a lot if you wait and watch it on a DVD at home. I think I've convinced ACat we should go see it tomorrow, in fact - it's good enough that I don't mind seeing it twice in two days, when it may not be there next weekend.

We also went to Starbucks afterwards and sat out with cold drinks, talking and soaking up a beautiful sunny day like a couple of solar cells. She doesn't talk about her son nearly as much as she threatened to, but it was a good time and I think we'll do that again soon. :)

Yay Chicago :) I agree, it's *wonderful* - everyone should go see it *g*
Saw it when I was over, before we went to FKO ... and we were singing bits and pieces of it the *whole* weekend ... gah, can you say "earworm"? Went again when I was back in HH, infected "our dancer" induriel ... and still have the soundtrack running fairly frequently.

Great soundtrack! I have the one to the musical -- not the original, but the revival. I haven't seen the soundtrack to the movie, but I'd love to have that one too. In my senior year of high school I played through my Chicago song book almost every single day. :-)

Agreed, very good movie. Mostly impressed by fact the Gere, Zeta-Jones, and Renee-whose-last-name-I-can't-spell all did their own singing and dancing. Loved that. Glad you enjoyed :) -H...
