As of roughly an hour ago, our beloved cat Dayna died. I wish we could have been there with her, but I know that she was loved and cherished even when we had to be a continent away, and I am morally certain she died in peace. Thank you for that priceless gift, Beth.

I made a more detailed Comment in Rob's LJ entry, but I know you are hurting, too. I am so sorry that another family member is gone, leaving only you humans to carry on. It would have been better, at least for you and Rob, to actually hold her and pet her and talk to her, but such was not to be. Still, Dayna is at peace. I wish the same for her humans.
