kitanzi: (simple pleasures - by slavewench)

Still alive, still around, still not posting much, but it's a good weekend. Today was the farmer's market plus groceries and errands, then this afternoon I got to spend a couple of pleasant hours meeting [livejournal.com profile] mosellegreen. It was good coffee and enjoyable chatting with plenty of laughter, and we agreed we should do this again sometime. It's always nice when the little voice in the back of my head that expects me to make an idiot out of myself is wrong. :)

Tonight we picked up on watching Babylon 5 again. We'd been watching before we moved, almost two years ago, but misplaced the DVD set during the move, so now we're starting up again half way through the second season. I'd forgotten how much I like this. Three episodes in a row is still my limit, though, before I start feeling like I have mental indigestion.

Tomorrow will be laundry, a phone call to my father, and babysitting for [livejournal.com profile] sfeley and [livejournal.com profile] afeley, and the beginnings of pulling things together to pack for Concertino next weekend. I need the vacation badly.

Who's planning to be there?

Are you folks going to be around at all other than going to Concertino? I'm not going to con, but I'll be around for breakfast on Friday if you aren't going right out to Worcester. What does your timing look like?

We're flying in on Thursday, so we'll already be in Worcester Friday morning. (And I've promised at least a good part of my Friday to my sweetie who lives up there, but there's still some amount of flexibility in my schedule.) What's your Thursday looking like?

I'm working on Thursday, but once I get out at 4:30, I'm free the rest of that day.

Ok, we get in sometime that afternoon so it sounds like it's good for timing. We're renting a car, so it should be easy enough - but where? (Or should we just give you a call when we're coming out of the airport?)

What time are you coming in? Also, do you know where Simmons is? I can meet you pretty easily at work, or I can head up to Central Square, or meet you in Brighton. It mostly depends on when you are getting in, and what areas of Boston you're comfortable finding.

Right. That was me again.

Assuming the airline actually is ON TIME, we're due in about 11:22 am, so lots of time until you get out of work. As for getting places, we'll have a car and a GPS, so any place we can get an address for we can probably find.

I've sent email with details. If I have the wrong addresses and you haven't gotten it, let me know.

Sadly, there's no way to do them both. You all have extra fun for us, ok?

We'll be there. But doing different Coulton from your title :-)

That really wasn't intentional. :)

Funnily enough, I started watching the DVD set of B5 that I got in the Amazon Gold Box special this evening, sucking ElderSon in with me...

I'm still here too. Won't be going to Concertino, though.

Still plodding through season 1 of B5. Like a book, I'll watch a few episodes (or read a few chapters), and put it down for weeks or even months.

Yeah, we dropped out mid second season for a couple of years, so I certainly know what you mean.

It's interesting watching it for the second time, now that I know what's coming!

I tried to get Joyce started on B5... but I had forgotten how badly acted the pilot and some of the first season was. It really doesn't get going until the second season.

I probably need to find a guide on what 1st season episodes are most plot-arc relevant, and skip to those...
