If to enunciate means to speak clearly, is there an equivilent for thinking similarly?

My good friend Ann O and I have been pondering this, and not coming up with any good answers, so I'm asking all of you!

Thinking clearly

Hmmmm . . ."To enunciate" is to speak clearly in the verbal/physical sense. You can enunciate clearly and *still* be confusing due to the content of your speech.

However, analogies to clear thinking coooould be: analytical, precise, maybe well-defined . .

The definition also depends if you are "speaking" of thinking as an internal activity, vs something like mindspeaking (i.e. telepathy, etc.) as it's typically portrayed in most fantasy books.

How about "allucidate" (or however it's spelled) -- to make clear (lucid)?

Elucidate is good, but I'm going to vote for plain ol' "clarify".

I'm less comfortable with that than with the noun form-- elucidation<=>clarity works for me.

However, I would argue that clear language is clear thinking.
