I don't tend to post much about what I'm randomly doing these days any more, but it was a great weekend and it deserves acknowledging. ACat was the conchair for Alt.polycon 17 this weekend at the same hotel we use for Gafilk, with a grand total of 17 attendees. It was fascinating, friendly, plenty of fun, and the second smallest "convention" I've ever attended! Given the nature of it (designated very specifically for people on the alt.poly list) everyone else there knew each other (other than [livejournal.com profile] anaisdjuna, who ACat and I lured into attending for part of the con!) but I wound up feeling very comfortable and welcome from the start, which I hugely appreciated. *yawn* Post con let down is no more fun for a small con than a big one, unfortunately. Laundry, groceries, dinner, and then tomorrow work.

And now back to your regularly scheduled reality.

*hugs* Glad to hear you had a good, comfortable weekend. Life needs more of those.

So what was the smallest convention you've ever attended?

Ready for OVFF? :)

Aphelion (http://www.aphelion-webzine.com/) has had a micro convention for a few years, all of which have been smaller. The largest was something around 8 people, so really I've been to several smaller, but they were all separate instances of the same convention, so to speak. (Really, it's just a big barbecue party. :) )

And yep, ready for OVFF! (Just as soon as I've recovered from this!)

Awww! Thanks for the honorable mention :-) It was lovely to see youze guyz. Though family affairs pulled me away on Saturday (*pushes out bottom lip*) I really did enjoy it. Everyone was really nice. I heartily enjoyed the responsible flirting workshop and appreciated everyone being open about their thoughts and experiences. Was helpful to my current thinkingz on my past, present and fewtcha.

:-)

PS. Belly! Belly! Belly!
