Eulogy for a weekend
Oct. 12th, 2008 08:19 pmI don't tend to post much about what I'm randomly doing these days any more, but it was a great weekend and it deserves acknowledging. ACat was the conchair for Alt.polycon 17 this weekend at the same hotel we use for Gafilk, with a grand total of 17 attendees. It was fascinating, friendly, plenty of fun, and the second smallest "convention" I've ever attended! Given the nature of it (designated very specifically for people on the alt.poly list) everyone else there knew each other (other than
anaisdjuna, who ACat and I lured into attending for part of the con!) but I wound up feeling very comfortable and welcome from the start, which I hugely appreciated. *yawn* Post con let down is no more fun for a small con than a big one, unfortunately. Laundry, groceries, dinner, and then tomorrow work.
And now back to your regularly scheduled reality.

Date: 2008-10-13 02:37 am (UTC)Awww! Thanks for the honorable mention :-) It was lovely to see youze guyz. Though family affairs pulled me away on Saturday (*pushes out bottom lip*) I really did enjoy it. Everyone was really nice. I heartily enjoyed the responsible flirting workshop and appreciated everyone being open about their thoughts and experiences. Was helpful to my current thinkingz on my past, present and fewtcha.
:-)
PS. Belly! Belly! Belly!
