Went and saw Eddie Izzard last night with ACat for his birthday - very funny man, very strange and very very funny. Very tiiiired now, but damn it was worth it. ACat has today off, so he's sleeping. Wonder if I can lean on one hand at work over some documentation and look very intent while I snooze off...

[livejournal.com profile] adric and I were there, too. We kept looking for folks we know and must have missed you. The show was fantastic.

What did you guys think of the venue?

I liked it well enough. We were fairly high up but still had a good sight line. The chairs were uncomfortably small, but most theatre seats are for both of us. I heard a number of other people complaining though, mostly about the distance from the stage.

I must I really love the venue and the parking is very convenient! However, the seats were far less comfortable than I remember from the Jesus Christ Superstar show a few months ago.

I was lucky to be in Orchestra row T in the middle of the theater and really liked our seats. For the JCS show, I was in the 1st row of the Mezzanine and I think the view from both sections was good. However, at least I could lean forward and rest on the front rail in the mezzanine when my hips started hurting in the seats.

Hope ACat had a fabulous birthday!

Did he do the giraffes doing charades?

No, that he did not. I could not start to enumerate all he DID do, though, there was just too much and too wildly rambling.

Hmmm... I recall that from the show last night. He was talking about a tiger sneaking up and he was miming "tie" and then "ger" and about how they can't make any sounds other than coughing. It was funny :)

We knew he was in town, but the trouble and expense of lining up both tickets and a babysitter seemed not worth it. :P Glad you enjoyed the show!
