Doable Resolutions

1. I will not mulch the downstairs neighbor.
2. I will not mulch the cats.
3. I will not mulch any politicians, even the ones who would be more useful that way.
4. I will vote.
5. I will read lots of books.
6. I will find something physical that’s fun to do – and yet legal to do in public.
7. I will continue to practice sanity and happiness, now that I have the stepstool I need to let me reach the shelf they’re on.
8. I will celebrate the people I care for, and the people who care for me, and be grateful for how closely those sets match.
9. Any ants I find in my house I WILL mulch without hesitation.
10. I will not set the cat on fire – that only will annoy it.


(I've seen this idea in a couple of variations on my friends list. I like it.)

11. And mind your manners, as circumstances may require...

Ants, politicians... one has six legs, one has four. I just wish the latter were so easy to deal with. (boric acid powder, peanut butter, jelly, sheet of cardboard. Stir a good dose of powder into separate blops of each of the second two, place on the cardboard, put where politicians ants can find. Wait 48 hours. No more ants.)
