Dragon Con - for a day

While ACat is out in California for the weekend, I'm going to Dragoncon tomorrow.I know at least a few people who will be there, and will probably meet up with me at some point (and would be glad to hear from anyone else who'd like to!), but I'm not particularly looking to anyone to entertain me - the people watching alone is good for hours, as I recall. What I *am* looking for is any idea of what time registration opens? The website doesn't say, far as I can see...

I'm taking MARTA to avoid parking logistics and expenses, and only having to coordinate myself so I expect to be there pretty early. I sometimes feel like the only morning person in all of fandom - anyone out there who might prove me wrong?

Come on, you know I'm always among the first up at a filk con, and I translated Debbie's "I Love the Morning" into German. :)

Very, very true, but I think you are the only fan I know who is (other than parents of small children, who generally have no choice.) Plus I really, really doubt you'll be near enough tomorrow to be morning person moral support, other than in thought. :)

I am a morning person, but oneandonlymatt not so much, so we tend to balance each other out. We expect to be there pretty early though. And we are Marta-ing it too.

And registration opens at 8. At least that is what everyone tells me.

I am not, by nature, a morning person, but I have an early work schedule. Previously, when going to cons, I reverted back to being a night owl (Friday night up till 1am-ish, Saturday till 3), and generally took an extra day off after the con to re-synch. However, I don't think I'll have the chance to do that anymore (except for cons during vacations or long weekends).

I wonder what other filker/schoolteachers, like allisona, do?

Oif. Early to bed and early to rise at a con? It just seems so... unnatural.

Definitely morning person by preference here - I'm often one of the first in for breakfast (after pacing in the room wondering why I have to wait so long). The down side of that is when circles don't start until 11 PM or midnight, I'm already asleep. :{
