I dunno, it seems to be the theme of the week, and particularly of the day. Both personally and professionally at every turn I am running into people playing head games, telling half truths to avoid trouble, talking at cross purposes, making assumptions, deliberately misunderstanding or omitting key facts, saying one thing to a person's face and another behind their back, and just generally being as fuckheaded as possible. NOT ACat, mind you, but just... I'm finding, right now, a real feeling that I am unable to translate the human race into anything I can comprehend.

Sounds fuckd up, but I'm not even feeling like I can very well communicate what I mean, so never mind. *sigh* I guess it's just one of those days

Ah, just a lot of cumulative crap. I know the 'public' can be a difficult 'cat', but ...
You have my sympathy and a lot of hugs. Just stay centered and stay who you are. This too shall pass. Be sweet and treat it like a speed bump, blow over it with great shocks and keep on rolling.

One of the hardest things I've learned through obsessive historical research -- and if a good look at history doesn't convince you that people are completely incomprehensible, nothing will! -- is that it is neither a good idea to let yourself slip into considering others nonhuman nor to yield the floor to them by letting them force you out of the name. You've got all my heartfelt sympathy and understanding of the frustration with the ways people try to "communicate" by every possible means of obfuscation. But don't let them make you think you're not human. Despite all of them, it's still a pretty nifty thing to be.
