Speechless

peteralway has very recently posted that his brother David, tnatj, died of a heartattack this morning. He was not a close daily friend of mine, but he was a wonderful, sweet man with a great sense of humor who seemed to make a point of telling people what he found good in them, and he was a fixture at Gafilk and I enjoyed his company very much. That's part of what gives this a particular kick, having seen and talked to him just this weekend - hell, just yesterday. I'm glad I got a chance to, but I still wish I could give him another hug. Just this moment, I don't have words.

*hugs* Didn't know him; only saw him in that one circle with cflute and mdlbear in the wee small hours of Sunday... but it's still sad to see another light go out, especially one which has touched such a large part of my flist...

Once again, you said it beautifully, about Dave's wonderful sweetness, sense of humor, and the wish for one more hug...

Yet another poignant reminder that life is all too often too short, and how important it is to be as kind as we can at every opportunity, for we may not pass this way again. :(

I am very glad for the help that gives. :) It does help, really, but it makes the loss more acute as well for the people who only saw him once or twice a year - not more or less important, just more acute, if that makes any sense.
