Does anyone know how to change the Current Music field to something else, like Current Reading?

I don't have any current music, most of the time, but I always have something I'm in the middle of reading.

Well ... yes, you *can* change that. I'm just not sure whether it will be visible like it on your friend's friends pages as well, or just if one looks directly at your journal.
Since you have a paid account you can create / edit styles. You'd need to create a new style (in your case it's the LJ default style) and then edit it. There is lots and lots of different things you can edit, one of them being "LASTN_CURRENT", which handles the "current music" and "current mood" things ... The "mood" and "music" are substituted by the line %%value%% in there, and you can change that to "book" or "reading" ...
Hm. This is probably too complicated to explain *g* - you know what, I'll try that out next week - have to temporarily change my layout for that but I'm curious enough that I want to try ... if it works I'll let you know. If someone else finds a solution faster, fine :)

I think I've got something for you ... it worked, but only in the new style S2. Are you on chat lines sometime? (IRC or ICQ?) cuz it might be too complicated to explain in mail, but very easy if we'd try it "simultaneously" online ...

Both - I'm on #filkhaven most evenings, and on ICQ I am 608942
