Warm Fuzzies

It's kind of funny - every time I have a rant at ACat about my job and how it frustrates me and my opinion of 90% of my coworkers, something happens to convince me it's woth sticking it out a while longer.

More to the point, the two new supervisors (two of the most capable and pleasant people in the department) just commented to me that the newest person here reminded them of me - and proceeded to give a fairly detailed list of nice things that they liked about both of us which added up to a pretty hefty compliment on both of our ability, competence and attention to detail. Too bad the other recipient wasn't here today to appreciate it too! *G*

(Bonus is that the same person, Ruth, seems to be a science fiction fan too, and an enthusiastic reader. I suggested a book swap. Maybe I can stop feeling like QUITE such a square peg in a round hole here!)

An unexpected promotion?

*me*: Thank you for calling (my employer), this is Larissa. How can I help you?
*female caller*: Oh, God just answered my prayer!

ROTFLMAOASTC! I have been called many many many MANY names while working in telephone customer service.... but being called God absolutely leaves me in hysterics! My tongue still stings where I bit it! *G*
