You people have been BUSY!

I don't know what it was about this weekend in particular, but I was away from home from Friday morning until early this evening, and I am just not getting caught up on my friends list. There is officially Too Much and my pants are bankrupt. Anything most especially interesting I should know about? Are the stressed people happier, the sick people weller and the tired people better slept? I hope?

If so, or even if not, I had a wonderful weekend visiting with sfeley and afeley and their adorable son. autographedcat gets home from Conflikt tomorrow. I have done the grocery shopping, eaten and skipped laundry on the excuse that he'll have a pile of it to add when he gets home tomorrow. On this note, I formally give up on catching up on LJ and I am off to watch mindless TV until I'm tired enough to sleep. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend too.

weekend? oh, yeah,it's been spiffy (blatant attempt to seek pity)

Not so wonderful. But to spare you reading too much:
* Failed to recover kaput hard drive. All data lost, except for the data backed up three months ago or on the class websites.
* Attempted to start rebuilding my system on a new hard drive. For hours, mysteriously, my computer would not "see" the external backup drive. Eventually it worked, but Saturday was a waste of time.
* Have food poisoning? Or something that causes chills and near-convulsions and a fever, anyway.

Aside from that, it's actually been a pretty good weekend. :-) Psinging on Friday, watched videos with bercilakslady, "circle dinner" with church people on Saturday night, church and interviewing a prospective student for my alma mater on Sunday.

I am better indeed, though not quite all the way there yet, but hopeful that I'll be fine (or fine enough :) for the weekend & aXXIdental. Seeing as how I'm singing in at least two others-spots (incl the GoH) and playing percussion in a third (dunno about backing vocals in that yet, possibly), this is good!
Also, people are working on my boiler replacement presently (it's a 2.5-3 day undertaking), so I'm looking forward to having working heating in the house again soon! Which given it's nowing & the snow's sticking, is also a very good thing!

I'm glad you had a lovely weekend & wish you & A-cat a lovely & loving reunion. *hugs* :)
