I think the first time I met you, you were in bed, surrounded by handsome men, plying you with grapes and song, with their cups, craters, lutes and lyres.

It was some sort of Greek or Roman festival or convention, and I'm not sure you (or they) were entirely human at the time. I seem to remember horses' tails or hooves. Maybe it was SybariCon?

Oh, yes, somehow you managed to keep one foot constantly on the floor, so it passed the Hayes censorship code.

And I'm not sure if it was actually you, or actually one of your friends ... sorry, I have a lousy memory.

The night we were all at the World Series when you won that Plymouth, and you gave it back on national TV since you don't the city of Detroit exists.

I'll never forget how, for our 2nd anniversary, we convinced NASA to send up to the International Space Station so we could make love in zero-g. Boy, was that fun! Especially since they had that one room which was all windows and you could see everything outside!

You: lovely, blonde, dressed only in a smile and curls. Me: unfortunately much more clothed, but equipped with charcoal sticks and sketchbooks, and the light through the hotel room window was lovely, and the shadows on your skin were like psalms.

I have lots of unmemories of you, but I think my favorite was the time at the kangaroo farm, when you and I jumped out of the jeep and went running around chasing the kangas merrily till we collapsed in breathless giggles and ACat came back with the car to help us make our getaway.

Ok, now I AM blushing. :) But not as much as the bellboy was when he accidentally tried to put the luggage for the five Hungarian chello players in our room!

Yep - and remember how they commandeered one of the half-ton trucks and chased us across the fields? *G* I was pretty impressed with their driving skills - if they hadn't run out of gas, we might have been in trouble!

My favourite non-memory is of the time you and ACat came to visit, and we held up the local candy store with supersoakers. I thought we would never eat all that chocolate! My stomach still aches just thinking about it.

Yup, and I remember how you tried to cheat, but it's hard to pull a card out of your sleeve when all your clothes are piled up in the middle of the pile of wagers!

It was the edible body paints that cinched it for me. I mean, I knew a person could blush, and furiously, but usually not -through- the body paints. Though I suppose most of it had been licked off by then. You shivered rather delightfully, as I recall. }:) -H...

There was that time... I think we were both fourteen, or thereabouts. Our parents had both gone away for the weekend, and had decided to save money by hiring just the one babysitter. Anyway, we had managed to knock her unconscious almost before their cars were out of the driveway, and before we could change our minds we had set out to hitchhike to New York City.

We didn't know quite what to do once we got there, but somehow that didn't seem to matter - we were wandering around the theatre district (even that young, I suppose we were a pair of geeks) and the stage manager for Les Miserables suddenly ran out into the street in front of us and began beating his head on the pavement. It seems the girl playing Eponine had just been struck by lightning, and the understudy had run off with the Rum Tum Tugger from the next theatre over. You were too shy to say anything, but I didn't hesitate to grab his shoulders and turn him towards you - you were always the better singer.

I'm not quite sure how you learned the part so quickly, but I've never seen a better performance, before or since....
