Ok, ACat and I have a deal. I will start posting again if he does, and vice versa - and I still don't have much to say, but dammit, it's a deal. I can't guarantee it's anything worth anyone reading, which is much of what's kept me from posting, but hey - if you don't like it, feel free to unfriend me. I promise not to hold a grudge.

So.... a post a week, at least, hopefully more. May be crap, may be trivial, may be something no one but me is interested in. Here's a starter - ask me a question, any question. I will either tell the truth, or say something so outrageous it's an obvious and hopefully entertaining lie. Hell, I dunno if anyone is even reading this any more. Say something? :)

What are you most looking forward to in the upcoming months?

That.... may depend when you ask. Some times it's the hope of going to the floating East Con filk this year, but that's not a sure thing. Some times it's the hope of moving the hell out of Georgia, but that's often after a bad day at work. Right this moment, hmmm. The weekend? :)

Ummm.... well, working at the Amway of insurance agencies. :) On the whole, though, it's a good job - the best I've found in the area. Aside from that, as I tell my mother - "Same husband, same home, same cat, same person." How are you? I haven't heard from you in ages.

Oooo! Not what you might expect... I really, really like the way that Sharon and I make an kickass team for the consuite! (I also really like seeing people that I don't see any other way during the year. I always get a kick out of seeing you dancing at the concerts. :) )

A large and varied lot which is still only a tiny fraction of ACat's collection, crammed into my iPhone. It's amazing for a long commute, I'm sure it's kept me from killing someone during rush hour bumper to bumper traffic.

Pure escapism, I'm afraid. I've gotten rehooked on City of Heroes, though not as comprehensively as I was the first time around. I mostly keep it to weekends.

I'm having a Damn Fine night tonight. Fantastic karate class, I can actually see that I AM improving, and I did not feel like an impostor who didn't belong there! Also, bought a new game I'm excited about playing whenever the long install finally finishes.

I think both you and ACat are tremendously interesting likable people, but I've gotten more chances to chat with him and get to know him. Maybe if you post more I'll get that chance with you.

Um, now must come up with random question. I tend to come up either with none or about 20 in fast succession. Um. Is your hair still long?

Heh, thanks! I'm glad the karate class is going so well, I'm really quite impressed with that - I've been reading (at least sporadically) even when I wasn't posting. I actually got about a foot and a half taken off of the hair at the beginning of Gafilk, so it's only shoulder length now but I may grow it out again.

I'm temping, hoping to go perm, at a large insurance agency. I'm not selling the stuff, but I'm part of the team that supports the agents and helps get things processed through the carriers. What's new and exciting with you?

Yeah, it's been a while. And I've been feeling the same way about my LJ posts. I've not had a lot to say on LJ these days, other than what I put on FB, and it seems that fewer and fewer people are on LJ.

Heh, they are an enormous, thick pair of purple knitted wool socks that someone gave ACat, thick enough to almost stand up on their own. He hardly ever gets cold so he rarely wears them, but I am cold very easily so in spite of them being about seven sizes too large for me, I shuffle around in them all winter. They are the warmest thing I own, possibly the warmest I have ever owned. They are very goofy looking, and I have definitively adopted them. They are MINE.

Typical day is wake up, clean up, get dressed and fed, drive an hour and a quarter to work, poke at a computer for the day, drive a half hour to 45 minutes home (Atlanta rush hour makes a huge difference), make and eat dinner with ACat, watch tv or relax for an hour or two, go to bed and do it again. Not terribly exciting. Last thing I made was dinner, which was chicken, broccoli, and mashed potatoes. Not terribly exciting either, I'm afraid.

It's getting there. We still have some cold (for Georgia) days, but we're getting some nice warm ones too. This is, of course, the signal that cold and flu season is becoming hayfever season. This state is trying to kill me, I swear.

Welcome back to LJ! How are the wildlife sightings in your back yard this year?

Relatively tame. I saw the wild turkeys again once this fall, walking past my window (didn't go chasing them for photos this time), but other than that it's birds, rabbits, squirrels, and local cats. We do have an owl somewhere, I can hear it at night. We have enough woods backing the property that I suspect we have a decent wild small animal population.
