Link of interest

I know a number of people on my friends list who might be interested in Amanda Baggs, a 26 year old autistic woman who apparently has made some videos about how someone with autism experiences reality. She also apparently does interviews via typing. I have never heard of her before, and no opinion on anything she's saying, but if you're interested and haven't already heard of her, here:

Have you read Elizabeth Moon's The Speed of Dark? An interesting attempt to write a novel from the point of view of an autistic character (Moon has an autistic child, I believe).

Interesting article.

I have not, I'll have to look, for that. Have you read The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time (http://www.amazon.com/Curious-Incident-Dog-Night-Time/dp/1400032717) by Mark Haddon?

I'm not necessarily holding that up as being written by someone who is autistic, btw. As best I can find, the author doesn't claim to be such, though it's meant to be written from the viewpoint of a 15 year old who is. Interesting analysis and criticism here:

You're welcome! *G* *hug* I'm tempted to go find those videos myself, once I get home. They're bound to be interesting, at the very least.
