Virtues and vices

Patience has never been a virtue of mine. Stubbornness, yes, if you can class it as a virtue, but never patience. I'm sitting, waiting for my sweetheart. I know he's fine, I know he's just a little longer at the hospital so they can be sure all the bleeding is under control post-operation (severely deviated septum and scarring in the sinuses from severe and chronic problems, for those not already informed) and then he'll be home just as soon as safely possible ... I know I can't do a damn thing to make it any easier or any faster. I know I have a whole extravagant list of plans for spoiling him rotten and doing any damn thing I can think of to make the next couple weeks less tedious and painful for him, but I also know that what I can do for that is pretty limited.
I hate that.
I hate this.
Did I mention I'm not very damned patient?

You're doing a lot better than I did in a similar situation about a year and a half ago, it sounds like. Hang in there. Sounds like he'll be fine and you know it; that's the important part (which doesn't make having him home feel any less important! I know).

*hugs*

He will, and I do, and yeah, I'm twitchy even so. Ever notice how logic doesn't do a damn thing to help in this sort of stuff? *G* But a friend just called and helped me a lot in getting back down off the walls, so I'll be fine, I'm just... impatient!

Difficult feeling to deal with, but as has been said you seem to actually deal pretty welll for someone who claims not to have much patience ;) And he's home now... *smiles*

And the important things's not the spoiling but that you are and will be there for him in any way you can. That alone is going to help him an awful lot. *hugs*

He is, he is, and I'm ever so much happier that way. :) Thank you!
