Earworms of the past

An email I wrote to a friend just now brought back to mind - persistently - the hymns from the church choir that I haven't been part of since I was 17. Now that is an earworm with staying power. (Or, as the Ropers might call it, Brain Sludge. Though I don't expect my former choir director would have appreciated that description.)

If you feel OK about it (hymns can be tricky), filk it--"and punch in the presence of the passen-jares!"
